Thanks for visiting!
It looks like I’ve finally made it – my own domain in WordPress! yey! I already celebrated this big step with a glass of swiss wine next to the lake – it really feels like summer here (I think I even got a slight tan!) Overall, the process of moving from Blogger to WordPress wasn’t a difficult one. I followed the steps listed over at Beautifully Invisible – its a very comprehensive guide for anyone who’s not very tech saavy (like me) I still have to work on some additional features I wanted to include – today I found out about a Geotag Plugin for WordPress, that permits you to tag your posts and pictures on google maps. I’m also working on a new header! So what are your impressions about the new layout? I want to know your thoughts and recommendations!

Hey stopping by from ftlob. I went to switzerland for my honeymoon and wished we lived there! Nice layout but I’m a colour-person so a nice colorful header I say! Haha
Will work on that colorful header!!
Congratulations, Katherina. Your new residence looks way cool :-)
Thanks! Though there are still some misplaced pictures, but I guess it will take some time…
It looks great Katherina! Can’t wait to see the header you’re working on!
I’ve thought about switching to my own domain, but wasn’t sure about some things, like- what happens to you google followers? and do your comments stay? Are there things that you lose if you leave blogger?
I’ll stop with the questions for now, I suppose I could actually look at that link!
Hi Meri! Thanks a lot! I feel like a proud mom on her sons first day of school. Frankly, its not as difficult as it seems at the beginning… and the link I posted is really a great reference. I think I didn’t loose neither google ranking, old comments nor any of the google followers – the only thing I realized is that sometimes pictures from previous posts are misplaced. But that’s no big deal… you should give it a try!
Congrats on the move. I think you will be happier here in your own home. Everything looks wonderful and from my point of view from outside looks like it moved without a problem. :)
Thanks! So far I’m liking it around here – though I’m still getting used to it. I read a lot before doing the move so I didn’t lose anything on the way… and I think so far it worked!
